Magnolium is a video game concept that showcases the story of the young orphan Eyrie, who travels the world with her trusted mount Pluvia in order to discover the history of her race. Together they unravel the mysteries left behind by Eyrie’s family, exploring themes of adventure, love, loss, and found family.

This concept began in September 2022 as a narrative illustration project for a university course. During that time, A mixed-media graphic novel concept for Magnolium was also created, featuring hand-sculpted 3D clay models mixed with digital photobashing (all pages are included in the gallery below).

from late 2023 onwards, Magnolium has had many design and environment reworks as the concept’s style evolves to match the maturity of the story.
